Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust recently welcomed local students to a dedicated careers event focused on allied health professions.

More than 35 students from local schools and colleges joined Trust colleagues to learn about a wide range of allied health professional (AHP) roles, including orthoptics, podiatry, operating department practice, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, radiography, speech and language therapy, dietetics, and paramedicine.

The event provided an opportunity to take part in hands‑on activities and to shadow AHPs working across Kingston and Richmond, offering valuable insight into the day‑to‑day work of AHPs who play a vital role in patient care.

One student shared their enthusiasm following the event:

“I learnt so much about the various allied health careers and it was such an amazing opportunity. I came away from the event feeling even more enthusiastic and excited about becoming an occupational therapist. Thank you.”
