In common with all NHS organisations, we are aware of the recently published independent review into maternity and neonatal services at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, Baroness Amos’ independent investigation into maternity and neonatal services in England, and the actions set out by the Government in response.

At Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust, we are proud of the safe, high-quality maternity care we provide. The safety of women, babies and families is our highest priority, and we are committed to continuous learning, openness and improvement. We have shared the findings of the review with our maternity teams and will carefully consider any relevant learning to further strengthen our services.

We recognise the importance of listening to women and families, supporting our staff to speak up, and maintaining a strong culture of safety at every level of the organisation. These are central to how we deliver care every day.
