About the Tommy’s Tool
Thank you for choosing the Kingston Maternity Unit.
We are taking part in a research study called the Partner study. As part of this, we are introducing the Tommy’s Tool (also known as the Tommy’s Pathway: Clinical Decision Support Tool).
This is an online clinical tool shared between you and your maternity team. We use it to support you and your baby throughout your pregnancy.
We ask all women who choose Kingston Mater
If you have any questions or technical difficulties, or you do not want to sign up to the Tool, talk to your midwife during the booking appointment.
How it works
When you sign up, you are asked to enter information, such as your age, medical history and previous pregnancies. We then enter test results during your pregnancy, such as scans and blood tests.
The tool then uses this information to help us monitor for certain complications in your pregnancy, such as premature birth (having your baby early) and problems associated with your placenta, such as high blood pressure or smaller babies.
How to sign up
- Go to the Tommy's Tool home page.
- Sign up to create your profile.
- Log in to enter your information. This will allow our maternity team to access your profile and discuss your information with you during your appointments.
