Biography

Ms Mittal Patel MBBS, MRCOG, is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. She is lead for pelvic floor services at Kingston Hospital.

She qualified from Newcastle University in 2009, completing her training in Yorkshire and London, and has experience of working in many teaching hospitals.

She has also completed a fellowship at Imperial College, where she undertook research on bladder pain and innovative treatments for overactive bladder. She has several publications in the field and has presented nationally and internationally.

She has experience of medical and surgical management of urinary incontinence, vaginal prolapse, bladder pain, recurrent urinary tract infections and birth trauma. She is passionate about prevention and treatment of birth trauma.

She has a keen interest in education and regularly teaches at local medical schools. She has published educational articles and videos for International Continence Society and the International Urogynaecological Association.
