Dermatology Consultant Nurse, Alberto Barea, and Dermatology Clinical Nurse Specialist, Simone Calvert, have been recognised at the recent British Dermatological Nursing Group (BDNG) Awards.

Alberto was awarded the Stone Achievement Award (named after the founder of the BDNG, Lynette Stone) in recognition of his significant contribution to dermatological nursing, with Simone receiving the Rising Star Award for showing exceptional promise and having the potential to become a future leader in dermatology nursing.

The BDNG Awards recognise excellence in dermatological care, with five awards categories open each year to individual dermatology nurses and dermatology teams.

Since 2018, the Trust’s dermatology team have twice received the Stone Achievement Award and have also been awarded the Team of the Year Award, and the Rising Star Award.​​
