Jo Farrar has been listed in the Health Service Journal (HSJ) ‘top 50’ list of chief executives.

The list is judged by leading health service figures, which this year included Rosie Benneyworth (chief executive, Health Services Safety Investigations Branch), Daniel Elkeles (chief executive, NHS Providers), and Aidan Fowler (interim chief inspector of healthcare, Care Quality Commission).

The judges were asked to choose the top 50 based on three criteria: the performance of the chief executive over the last year, the performance of the organisation they lead, and the contribution the chief executive has made to the wider health and social care system.
