Olympic medalists kick off annual Night to Remember charity walk
The Juliet O Foundation has partnered with Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust to provide care packages to elderly patients leaving hospital.
Around 30 vulnerable patients each month will receive a free care package, including items such as toiletries, non-slip socks, and non-perishable food items, to take with them to their place of residence when they are discharged from Kingston Hospital or Teddington Memorial Hospital.
Laura Greene, Head of Volunteering and Community Partnerships at Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We are delighted to be working with the Juliet O Foundation to support elderly patients who may be anxious about leaving hospital. The care packages lovingly curated by Juliet give will make a real difference in helping to give patients the confidence to go home with the essentials they need for the first few days and weeks following a stay in hospital. We are really grateful to the Juliet O Foundation for their generosity.”
