Radiology Department at Teddington Memorial Hospital

The Radiology department at Teddington Memorial Hospital provides facilities and staff, in partnership with Kingston Hospital, to support referrals from GP surgeries, outpatient services, Teddington Hospital's inpatients ward, and the Richmond Urgent Treatment Centre at Teddington Hospital.

The Radiology department provides services for adults and children - seven days a week. However, the Urgent Treatment Centre is unable to x-ray children under 2 years of age.

PACS digital imaging technology, with computer links to Kingston Hospital, enables clinical images to be transmitted from Teddington Memorial Hospital to Kingston Hospital where the consultant radiologists can view and provide immediate clinical advice where necessary.

Other services provided in the department include ultrasound and breast screening (by referral only).

The team consists of radiographers, ultrasonographers, echo physiologists, consultant radiologists, and administrative staff.

Referrals to the department come directly to the Diagnostics department from our Walk-in Centre, through GP referrals, and through our Inpatients and Outpatient departments via the standardised request form.
